SOOOO Many Options, So little time. Create a written list of your NEEDS (MUST HAVES), followed by your WANTS, and of course add your WISHES. You know, the wishes, the ones when the Needs and some Wants are covered, and the Wish items at are present will seal the deal, and make this property your HOME! Consult with a Mortgage Company to obtain what is your buyer power. Have them fill out an Pre-Qualified, or Pre-Approval letter to be included in your new house contract, once you locate it.

Items to consider: Location, proximity to work, schools, future schools, school districts, shopping, convenience shopping, doctors, hospitals and possible public transportation. We normally joke that many people would prefer to live on their own island, alone, quite, peaceful, no distractions, no restrictions and (with all the services, water, electricity, sewage), but next door to all the convenient places they would prefer to visit routinely.

Narrowing down to the general location is fairly simple, but still many options to consider. Would you prefer one, two, or three story older homes, classic homes, ranch, with or without acreage (horses or outdoor animals), country living, small town feel, colonial, water front, water view, many updates or none, high ceilings or low, special needs, maid facilities? Energy efficiency can play a big part in your continued comfort in the home. Gas or Electric, maybe either is ok? The consider the number of Bedrooms, Kitchen size and openness, with an island, Office(s), formal dining, formal Living Room, Game Room, Media Room, big yard, low maintenance yard, pool, fenced yard, and of course privacy are all important decisions. And now comes the harder part: style of home, layout, big this room, little that room.

Once you can narrow the list, we can begin the search to find you the property you desire.
